MY STORY

Hello, amazing person reading this! I’m Ikaro Siqueira, a dreamer and a deeply passionate Game Designer & Producer. Since I was a kid, I knew I wanted to make games, to grow into the best version of myself, and to create experiences that could touch people’s lives the same way the games I played touched mine. In 2019, I began my journey with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at UNIFEI, where I collaborated on multiple projects with incredible people over four years. For my final paper, I developed a game in partnership with a local company and became the first student at UNIFEI to create both a game and an academic article fully focused on Game Design methodologies within the program. That work later earned me 1st place at SBGames 2023 in the Arts Trail & Design category.

Living abroad and making games, getting experience and learning from my industry heroes was always a dream of mine, and in 2022, it came true. I was awarded the Latin America Talent Scholarship for Game Design at Vancouver Film School, an experience that completely transformed me both professionally and personally. It was a year filled with growth, challenges, and unforgettable collaborations. During that time, I graduated with honors and received three awards: Best Final Project 2023 (High Steaks, as Game Designer), Best Team Project (The Last Dwarf, as Programmer), and Best Story 2023 (Bound By Flesh, as Game Writer). That experience solidified what I already knew: no matter what happens in life, I will never stop making games, they are the fuel of my existence.

On 2024, I worked at BGNS Studios, focusing on Game Design and Production, going from Junior Game Designer and Associate Producer to lead positions, shipping titles like Little Sim World and other exciting projects.

My journey then brought me to Mega Cat Studios, where I joined as an Associate Producer and later stepped into the role of Lead Producer on Backyard Baseball. It became an incredible opportunity to help lead a large multidisciplinary team around a shared vision while working with an established and beloved IP for the first time in my career.

As Lead Producer, I helped guide the team through development and the successful release of Backyard Baseball, working closely with producers, developers, leads, and partners to keep everyone aligned around the same goals and direction. Today, I continue leading production on the game through post-release development, helping the team improve and expand the experience for our players.

Every project has brought new challenges, incredible people, and lessons that have shaped who I am as a developer and producer. My journey is still just beginning, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me!
